Thus I decided to make good consumption of such high amount of energy and make myself become a more stable product, therefore I am, blogging.
After going through a displacement reaction with nitrate acid, me and jessie has become totally soluble compounds and decided to submerge ourselves completely in the wonderful realm of our chemistry notes, both last year and this year. Having such a vast amount of liquid and huge mass of compounds, the activation energy for the reaction (i.e. energy required for brain cells to start moving around) is rather high as you can imagine. Thus we involved the help of a catalyst: the newly artificially created chemical "O
ishi Japanese pizza" to provide a platform for the collisions of the particles to take place faster. By the time the exothermic reaction is complete, our surroundings is so warm that heat is transferred back to us again, due to the law of thermal equilibrium. Subsequently leading to the video-search on Youtube and the practise of Jessie's arm waves and body waves.
However, one setback we realise about such an experiment is that this new catalyst is very unique. It cannot be recycled. Instead, it takes part in the reaction rather actively, contributing to part of the heat emitted.
